As Co-Chairman/CEO of PMK•BNC, Michael Nyman has established himself as a leading authority with keen cultural insights in bridging the worlds of entertainment and brands. Nyman was recently named to The Holmes Report’s “Innovative 25” list honoring the leading innovators, disrupters and game changers in the industry.

Nyman, a 26-year veteran, led the historic merger of his previous firm, Bragman Nyman Cafarelli (BNC), with the renowned entertainment publicity powerhouse PMK, in the fall of 2009. Today, he is responsible for operating and charting the future course for the 250-person firm, with a roster of more than 800 entertainment and Fortune 500 clients, across three offices in Los Angeles, New York and London.

Nyman has architected award-winning campaigns and advised clients ranging from Conde Nast, Pepsi, Samsung Mobile, Activision, The Academy of Country Music, CW Network, American Express, T-Mobile, Beats by Dr. Dre, JC Penney, The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (Emmy Awards), Fox’s “The X Factor” and YouTube, as well as individuals like Shonda Rhimes and Nicholas Sparks.

In addition to serving on the Board of Trustees at Brentwood School in Los Angeles, Nyman is a Board Member of WPO/YPO Angeleno Chapter, serves on the Board of Governors of Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles, the Board of Councilors of USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, on the Board of Advisors for USC’s Greif School of Entrepreneurial Studies and a member of the California Film Commission. Nyman, a graduate of University of Southern California (B.A.), resides in Los Angeles with his wife and two children.

An undeniable force in the media as well as among her industry peers, Berger was honored with the NY Women in Communications Matrix Award and the NY Women in Film & Television Muse Award, was the first publicist ever to be included on Variety’s prestigious Women’s Impact List, was named one of New York’s 50 Most Powerful Women by the New York Post, and one of the “Top 50 Women Who Run New York” by Gotham Magazine. Berger oversees PMK•BNC’s Entertainment Division, including the Talent, Television, Film and Music departments. Among her wide array of clients, she represents such iconic personalities as Robert Redford, Barbara Walters, Billy Crystal, Lena Dunham, Sean Combs, Sharon Stone and Rosie O’Donnell, as well as musical artists including The Dixie Chicks, Kings of Leon and Harry Connick, Jr.

In addition to working with Robert Redford and his numerous film campaigns, she represents his television production company, Sundance Productions. She has also worked with Mr. Redford and his Sundance executive leadership team to bring attention to the valued work of The Sundance Institute, and has been an integral voice in their efforts to expand their scope in promoting the best of American independent cinema. She also helped launch the Sundance London Film and Music Festival.

Berger has led many successful film campaigns and consults with the Weinstein Company on films such as Carol, starring Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara, Quentin Tarantinos’ The Hateful Eight, Southpaw, starring Jake Gyllenhaal, and previously worked on St. Vincent, starring Bill Murray, The Imitation Game, starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Keira Knightley, and Tim Burton’s Big Eye’s starring Amy Adams and Christoph Waltz. She previously worked on award-winning films The Artist, The Iron Lady, My Week with Marilyn, Silver Linings Playbook and Philomela, as well as the acclaimed documentary, Bully.

In addition to her work in the film industry, Berger has worked closely with Oprah Winfrey and her team and represented OWN’s Documentary Film Club. She signed and oversaw the successful launch and first and second seasons of the U.S. version of “The X-Factor” on Fox, and also launched and represented the ABC Daytime Emmy award-winning talk show, “The View,” as well as “The Barbara Walters Specials.” Berger also launched CNN Films documentary series and continues to consult on their projects.

Straight out of college, Berger began her career in entertainment as a receptionist at PMK. She worked her way up through the ranks to become an assistant, an account executive, then Vice President, Managing Director, Partner, and now serves as Co-Chairman & CEO overseeing a staff of 300 in New York, Los Angeles and London. She is a member of The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) and resides in New York with her husband and two children.

A widely respected leader with more than two decades of experience in the corporate and entertainment worlds, Chris Robichaud has been the leading force behind PMK•BNC’s vision of becoming the global expert in entertainment and popular culture in a digitally connected world. He possesses a rare dual expertise in both the worlds of entertainment and brand marketing / communications, utilizing that foundation to help clients understand the digital landscape and how to be part of the global conversation. As CEO, Robichaud is focused on not only helping clients solve problems, but also insuring the agency continues to lead them into the future and remains on the forefront of the marketing / communications industry.

He has authored a number of white papers including “Beyond the Games: How Popular Culture is Shaped by a Mega-Event,” “The Media is the Message: Unlocking Popular Culture Opportunities for Brands,” and presented at the 2012 Cannes Lions Forum, “Managing Creative Talent: Lessons From Hollywood Insiders.” That foundation spurred Robichaud’s development of the “Science of Popular Culture,” including creating a number of proprietary research tools such as The Conversation Predictive Model and the celebrity research tool, Fanatomy (formerly FanDNA), which are the heart of PMK•BNC’s approach to the “Science of Popular Culture.”

Robichaud has vast experience with clients in both entertainment and consumer brands including, Audi, Diageo, T-Mobile, Red Bull, Pepsi, Samsung Mobile, YouTube and Beiersdorf (both in the U.S. and internationally).

Robichaud first arrived at Bragman & Co. in 1990. Over the course of his 24-year career at the firm, he has developed a strategic, long-term vision that has led to incredible client success, as well as impressive growth, diversification and the international expansion of PMK•BNC.

Brad Cafarelli joined Howard Bragman and Michael Nyman in 1991, creating the entertainment division of Bragman Nyman Cafarelli.

Cafarelli begin his career in public relations in 1985 with Solters/Roskin/Friedman. Initially employed as a temporary assistant, he quickly ascended the ranks of the firm. By 1990, he held the position of senior vice president of the venerable firm’s personalities and special events division.

In addition to representing some of the most popular performing artists in the world, Cafarelli has devised and implemented countless national and international publicity campaigns in virtually every area of entertainment, including film, television, music and publishing.

Cafarelli’s long-time personal clients include Cameron Diaz, Kate Hudson, Jessica Alba, Whoopi Goldberg, Vanessa Williams, Teri Hatcher, Jenny McCarthy, Jenna Elfman and Julianne Hough, among others.

Monica Chun oversees the day-to-day operations of PMK•BNC’s Brand Marketing and Communications division and is responsible for the ideation, development, and execution of integrated marketing and PR campaigns for a wide range of clients.

A strategic marketing professional with over 17 years of agency experience in brand innovation & launch strategy, sponsorships & promotions, strategic brand partnerships, influencer marketing, entertainment outreach, product integration, social media, experiential marketing, branded content and content procurement.

Monica has a proven track record of success creating marketing programs that drive innovation for various Fortune 500 brands over the years including Samsung Mobile, PlayStation, Skechers, Nintendo, Gatorade, Jordan Brand and many more. She also has extensive experience launching a number of iconic products across multiple product categories and around key cultural moments (i.e. Super Bowl, Grammy’s, Sundance, Oscars, SXSW, NBA All Star Weekend, etc.).

Scott has been with PMK•BNC for nearly 15 years and currently serves as the agency’s EVP/Chief Growth Officer tasked with overseeing business development. Scott’s background has a healthy mix of marketing and media relations experience and he still currently oversees large consumer brands such as T-Mobile and Pepsi. Over the past decade, Scott has successfully overseen and managed business for clients looking to create sustainable impact using entertainment and sports as platforms. A sampling of past and current clients & projects include: General Motors (Cadillac, GMC, Pontiac), American Express, Philip Morris, Anheuser-Busch, Sony PlayStation, Hasbro, Jordan/Nike, IWC, Audi of America and Declare Yourself (Norman Lear’s Voter Education Campaign).

Scott has helped his clients maximize their media and/or sponsorship investment through strategic marketing and communications plans. He has helped navigate successful campaigns to support: The Super Bowl, Sundance Film Festival, The NBA and NBA All-Star Weekend, The Grammys, Indy 500, ESPN’s X-Games, MLB All-Star Game, The IRL, The AVP and The Kentucky Derby.

Scott is a graduate of The University of Denver and resides in Los Angeles with his wife, Amy and two spunky daughters, Sydney and Hayden.

As EVP, People Services, Rebecca Waits focuses on culture, talent development and driving employee engagement at PMK•BNC.

Rebecca has a wealth of experience in talent management, culture and engagement and training/development, as well as a vast knowledge of executive-level planning, human resources and digital agency experience. She possesses an innate ability to translate the complexities and uncertainties of the ever-changing work environment into actionable insights and innovative opportunities for companies and their people.

Before joining PMK•BNC, Rebecca was Vice President of People Services at Rosetta Marketing where she led agency best practices and programs, as well as oversaw the Talent Acquisition group. Prior to Rosetta, she worked in various leadership positions at LEVEL Studios, Razorfish, and Deloitte Consulting.
